Prof. Milind Joshi’s Analysis of Sadhguru’s New Marathi Book, “Mrutyu – Ek Atal Satya,” Is Essential Reading for the Next Generation

Sakal Prakashan and Isha Life recently unveiled Mrutyu – Ek Atal Satya, the Marathi translation of Sadhguru’s best-selling book Death: An Inside Story, which was first published in English in 2020.

The 700-seat Symbiosis Vishwabhavan auditorium on Senapati Bapat Road in Pune was the venue for the launch event. Alongside Prof. Milind Joshi, a well-known author and the Working President of Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad, Shri Avinash Dharmadhikari, the Founder-Director of Chanakya Mandal Pariwar, and Shri Ashutosh Ramgir, the Head of Sakal Prakashan, the Hon. Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Shri Murlidhar Mohol, unveiled the book.

Speaking at the event, Shri Mohol remarked, “Sadhguru is a spiritual inspiration, and youth across the world are eager to read his books. His insights on death will evoke deep reflection in the younger generation. Indian philosophy has long asserted that death is inevitable and inescapable. If death is an unavoidable truth, it can serve as a tool to understand life more profoundly. By bringing this book to Marathi readers, Sakal Prakashan has made a significant contribution.”

Talking about the book’s relevance, Prof. Milind Joshi shared, “There are many positive aspects to the word Mrutyu. If we embrace them, they can transform the way we live. In this regard, what Sadhguru has conveyed through this book is truly valuable.”

“What happens before we are born and after we die, and everything in between is very beautifully explained by Sadhguru,” he observed.

Addressing the younger audience, he advised, “In today’s glossy world, the youth must question and discern what is fleeting and what is lasting. To reflect on this, I highly recommend reading this book.”

“I have already read the English version of the book,” stated Shri Avinash Dharmadhikari, reflecting on Sadhguru’s enormous contribution to society. Although it was a masterpiece, I think the Marathi version will have an even deeper impact because of the language’s capacity to convey such a topic.

Death: An Inside Story has received a 4.75-star rating from 12,500 Amazon reviewers and has sold over 5 lakh copies. Additionally, the novel has been translated into Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and Gujarati. Additionally, Penguin Random House, USA, plans to release its English edition in the US.

Sakal Prakashan has published Sadhguru’s fourth Marathi novel. With more than 20,000 copies sold to date, his debut Marathi book, Atmadynanache Vidnyan, which is a Marathi translation of the New York Times bestseller “Inner Engineering,” is now the Marathi bestseller.
