During her two-day visit to Chhattisgarh, President Droupadi Murmu attended the Guru Ghasidas Central University, Bilaspur’s 10th convocation event today.
Speaking at the event, the President said that young people cannot find pleasure or create a better society unless they uphold equality’s ideals. Our nation, she claimed, is in “Amrit Kaal,” and if the young people uphold the fundamental duties outlined in the Constitution, national growth will undoubtedly pick up speed.
The institution awarded 76 students gold medals and 28 research scholars PhD degrees during the event. Additionally, at the ceremony, about 3000 students received graduate and postgraduate degrees.
The President prayed earlier today at the well-known Mahamaya temple in the ancient city of Ratanpur, where he expressed his wishes for the countrymen’s happiness, prosperity, and advancement. The President will meet with tribal people that are specifically protected today evening at Raj Bhavan in Raipur before traveling back to Delhi.
