Deepa Malik is a trailblazer in Indian sports, with 23 international medals and the historic title of India’s first female Paralympic medalist, winning silver at the Rio Paralympics. Honored with the Padma Shri, Khel Ratna, and Arjuna Award, she’s also a record-holder, being the first Indian paraplegic woman swimmer, biker, and car rallyist with four Limca World Records.
As the first female president of the Paralympic Committee of India and a South Asian representative on the Asian Paralympic Committee’s executive board, Deepa continues to break barriers.
