A new book about happiness co-authored by Oprah and Arthur C. Brooks
Oprah Winfrey, a well-known TV personality, producer, and author, said that she has now teamed up with author and educator Arthur C Brooks to publish a new book. On September 12, 2023, their new book, titled “Build the Life You Want: The Art and Science of Getting Happier,” is anticipated to be published.
I began reading Arthur C. Brooks’ column in The Atlantic when the pandemic first started. I discovered that I looked forward to the lessons each week, which was a prescription for progress. We met, grew close, and now have published a book together because I wanted to share the enjoyment he was teaching at Harvard with the rest of us. Build the life you desire. Oprah stated in a social media post that The Art and Science of Getting Happier would teach you how to enhance your life NOW rather than waiting for the outer world to change.
In the meantime, Brooks said in a statement that he had always admired Winfrey’s contributions to the arts. When discussing authoring the book with Winfrey, he remarked “As a social scientist, I look at the data and evidence on what leads to the greatest happiness, while Oprah knows how to reach people at the most important critical points in their lives… This book will introduce readers to the incredible science of happiness, based on the best research available.” Previously, winfrey has written the books ‘What I Know for Sure’, ‘Food, Health and Happiness’, among others.
