Penguin Random House Unveils The Penguin Nehru Library
The Penguin Nehru Library, a definitive collection honoring the life, career, and ideas of Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first prime minister, was launched today by Penguin Random House India. This collection includes his most important writings, including letters, essays, and articles, and is a priceless tool for readers and academics.
Nehru was a visionary leader who was crucial in India’s fight for independence. His legacy represents civil liberties, institutional growth, and democratic principles. Even sixty years after his passing, his writings on democracy, secularism, international politics, and social justice continue to influence discussions on social progress and nation-building.
According to Penguin Random House, Nehru’s intellectual legacy has been honored through a highly sensitive curating process. Among the highlights are the five-volume Letters to Chief Ministers, which offer an insight into Nehru’s role in shaping India’s political and social landscape.
