Information about the 7th Ooty Literary Festival that you should know
The “Queen of Hill Stations” designation belongs to Ooty in Tamil Nadu, which is renowned for its beauty and fantastic climate. Additionally, the seventh iteration of the eagerly anticipated Ooty Literary Festival is now taking place in this lovely hill town. It takes place over two days on October 6 and 7, 2023.
The festival this year will not only commemorate the hill station’s bicentennial but also highlight its rich cultural, historical, literary, and historical heritage. The Nilgiri Biosphere and varied populations will be highlighted as part of Ooty Lit Fest 2023, according to the official press, “going beyond literary discussion.”
What is so special about this Ooty Literary Festival?
Thiru Perumal Murugan, one of Tamil Nadu’s most prominent writers, will get the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s much awaited event in recognition of his remarkable dedication to promoting literary arts and culture in Tamil Nadu while facing great difficulty.
Additionally, it will have digital talks, live interactions, performances, intellectual discussions with well-known creators, artistic displays, and a variety of Indian classical, blues, and jazz performances that will resonate across the hills. OotyLitFest has developed over time into a key platform to display, safeguard, and promote Tamil Nadu’s literature, it was stated.
As part of the celebration, speakers Aamir Khan, Apsara Reddy, Javed Akhtar, Mansoor Khan, Jerry Pinto, Kalki Koechlin, Dr. Mahesh Rangarajan, and Sudha Murty will also participate in speeches, debates, and talks.
