International Yoga Day 2023: India enthusiastically participates in Yoga celebrations, showcasing its diversity from aircraft carriers to high altitudes.
International Yoga Day, observed annually on June 21, serves as a global platform to promote awareness of the numerous benefits of practicing yoga. The concept of celebrating this day was initially put forth by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in September 2014. On June 21, this year, the United Nations Headquarters in New York will be hosting the global celebration of International Yoga Day, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Meanwhile, the national celebration will be led by Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The theme for this year’s Yoga Day is ‘Yoga For Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,’ emphasizing the role of yoga in the well-being of all individuals as part of a unified global family. This theme embodies the essence of yoga, which unites and uplifts everyone. Stay connected with The Today Today for the latest updates on this event.
