As it kept raising its overall score and maintaining a focus on high-quality teaching and research, it was able to maintain its position in the cohort of 601–800 in the world ranking.
1,904 universities from 108 different nations and regions are included in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024. The teaching environment, research, citations, worldwide view, and industrial income are the factors taken into account while ranking the universities.
The top course at KIIT, Computer Science Engineering, is ranked between 300 and 400 worldwide in the Subject Rankings for 2023, while General Engineering is ranked between 400 and 500 worldwide. Academics and students alike frequently consult the Times Higher Education World University Rankings while selecting their preferred university for further education.
Attracting 40,000 varied students from 65 foreign countries and all states in India, KIIT is becoming a global centre for professional and technical education. Despite being a very new establishment, having only been a university for 19 years and an institution for 26 years, it has attained notable ranks in both national and worldwide rankings of higher education institutions.
According to national rankings and accreditation, the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has classified KIIT as the 16th best university in India in the NIRF India Rankings 2023. The nation’s foremost accreditation authority for postsecondary education, NAAC, has awarded it a ‘A++’ grade. Furthermore, the Washington Accord (‘Tier 1’) certification for its engineering programmes has been acquired by NBA.
Additionally, ABET in the USA and IET in the UK, which are regarded as the gold standards of engineering and technology education, have approved its B.Tech programmes.
