Amazon.in and NCERT collaborate to develop a new, unique store for K–12 books that will be accessible throughout India.
To ensure that students have access to authentic learning materials and resources, Amazon India today announced its partnership with the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) through a Letter of Engagement (LoE). This partnership will ensure that NCERT books will be available at the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) across all serviceable pin codes in India. This would increase the number of textbooks available on Amazon. in for kids in Kindergarten through Class 12 as well as UPSC candidates.
Along with providing individual customer service, Amazon.in will collaborate with NCERT to streamline bulk ordering for educational institutions and government organisations, facilitating the acquisition of textbooks in bulk. In order to facilitate this, NCERT has selected specific distribution providers that would collaborate with Amazon.in sellers to guarantee prompt and effective delivery.
A dedicated NCERT Bookshop has been established on Amazon.in to further assist this endeavour, providing customers with the whole selection of textbooks in one convenient location at no extra cost. The goal of this collaboration between Amazon India and NCERT is to create an educational ecosystem that is more open and reliable. Amazon and NCERT are collaborating to make high-quality educational materials accessible to millions of students across the country.
“By making NCERT textbooks available through Amazon.in, we are enabling millions of students across India to pursue their education without barriers and with greater convenience,” Shri Dharmendra Pradhan adds.
Saurabh Srivastava, Vice President, Categories, Amazon India, says, “Amazon is trusted by millions of Indians across the country every day for making essential products easily accessible, and we believe that quality education should be no exception.”
