Oxford Bookstores and Long Night of Literatures Present An Exciting Literary Forum – Pages That Connect
Oxford Bookstore, in cooperation with The Long Night of LiteratureS, presented a literary discussion with famous authors and publishers from Europe and India at the Czech Embassy in New Delhi. This specially curated literary forum titled “Pages That Connect: Literary Influences and Contemporary Dialogues between Europe and India” featured a diverse range of speakers including Julia von Lucadou, German author; Susana Moreira Marques, Portuguese writer and journalist; Elisa Levi, Spanish author; Saikat Majumdar, Indian novelist and academic; Vineet Gill, Indian author; and Elizabeth Kuruvilla, associate publisher, Penguin Random House India.
This particular occasion was held to bring the literary and publishing fraternity of India together with the European delegation of Long Night of LiteratureS. This year, The Long Night of LiteratureS, a much-anticipated reading event, would host writers from all over Europe on September 22, 2023. The names include authors like Attila Bartis (Hungary), Bianca Bellová (The Czech Republic), Bikash Dihingia (UK), Boštjan Videmšek (Slovenia), Clarence Boulay (France), Elisa Levi (Spain), Harald Darer (Austria), Hari N. Spanou (EU Delegation), Julia von Lucadou (Germany), Katja Brunner (Switzerland), Susana Moreira Marques (Portugal), Żanna Słoniowska (Ukraine) and Zygmunt Miłoszewski (Poland).
Oxford Bookstore is not only a co-host of the Literary Forum at LNL2023, but it is also the event’s official bookstore partner. This collaboration strengthens Oxford Bookstore’s long-standing dedication to celebrating books, literature, art, and culture. Oxford Bookstore, with a rich history spanning a century, remains a lighthouse for literary fans, giving a place where the written word comes alive.
