1,500 advanced education books in local dialect to be out in a year
In a significant push to local dialects, University Grants Commission (UGC) — to find out the acknowledgment of National Education Policy (NEP), 2020 — has previously framed a peak council to guarantee the accessibility of advanced education course books in various Indian dialects.
In no less than a year, understudies will actually want to get course books in various Indian dialects. Giving significance to territorial dialects is a vital component of NEP 2020. Conversing with The Tribune, UGC Director Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar said that the work on course books in Indian dialects was happening amazingly.
Kumar — expounding on the errand of the summit council — said that the board would distinguish the generally accessible course books in Indian dialects in the country.
“After identifying those, the apex committee, with the help of experts, will check their quality,” said Jagadesh Kumar. “We are hopeful that around 1,300-1,500 textbooks for higher education in different disciplines will be available in a year,” he added.
