Few talents remain in a drowsy state, as when gets a room for rousing it gets its excellence. Kathakriti takes an effort to focus such talent to be a banyan tree. Swapan Kumar Nath was born in 1968 on 17th December in a very respectable family in Nadia district of West Bengal. His father, Rash Behari Nath was a teacher of the English language and History of repute. His mother was Mrs. Shefali Rani Nath from whom he got the opportunity to grow up as a person of humanity. He has two elder sisters namely kajal Nath, and Bakul Nath Bhowmik, and an elder brother namely
Ratan Kumar Nath. Mr.Nath completed his school education at Bethuadahari J C M.High school and completed his H S from Krishnanagar Government College. He completed his Honours in English and Master’s degree from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. He started his career as a teacher of English language in JHAPORDAH DUKE INSTITUTION, HOWRAH from 1997 to 2021 September. And then he joined Panihati Tran Nath High school as a teacher of the English language on and from 3rd September 2021. When the whole world was going through a critical juncture caused by COVID-19, at that moment few people indulged themselves in the work of literary creations. In this hard time of life, the literary works of Swapan have come in limelight. The English poetry book namely “THE INSPIRING TRAVEL” is reported to have been published as the first English poetry book by the poet, Swapan Kumar Nath under the publication of KATHAKRITI in 2020 on 28th October. The publication of this book has been published in Ananda Bazaar Patrika. This book has been praised by the readers. Mr. Nath has come in contact with so many world-famous professors in his educational life. He feels proud to mention their names – Professor, Pabitra Sarkar, Dr. Sudhir Chakrabarty, Dr. Ranjit Sarkar, Dr. Amitava Ray, Dr. Madhumanti Maitra, and above all Dr. Dhriti Kanta Lahiri Chowdhury. Meanwhile, his two consecutive Bengali poetry books, ADBHUT ANDHAR and ALOR ABHIMUKHE have been published. Both the books got applause from the readers. That is why he can be called a bilingual poet. Though the poet started writing in the recent past yet his writings both in English and Bengali have touched the mind of the readers not only of his own country but also abroad. His writings are simple, colloquial and a reflection of daily life having the quality of his own style and excellence. His writings mainly focus on the present political scenario that is inviting restlessness in society and the malpractice of administration. His poetry also sings about universal love and affection among men and women.
His second English poetry book, THE POETRY OF EARTH from Orange publication was a milestone for the poet. The book brought worldwide fame to the World Book Of Records, LONDON. The poet, Swapan Kumar Nath has been awarded the best Indian Author by writing The poetry Earth by Criticsspace Journal of International fame. His many English poems and short stories have been published in many international journals. The poems of Swapan have been published in two English poetry books namely REVERIE and REVERIE 2 by INNOVATIVE AUTHOR’S INTERNATIONAL FORUM. Under the editorship of Dr. Janatha, a professor of English and poet, writer, and essayist, Swapan’s English poems have been published in a book, STRINGS OF SYMPHONY. His Bengali poems have been published in Bangladesh. He is a regular speaker on different commercial channels in the language of English teaching and speaking. His many more poems both in English and Bengali are awaiting to be published in different magazines both in his country and abroad. He has been awarded, SAHITYA RATNA AWARD from Gappo Baggish prakashoni, Kolkata. The poet was awarded, KALARATNAM AWARD from Creative Art Forum, Kolkata. Mr. Nath was declared a World poet by Creative Art Forum, Kolkata. The poet also got appreciation from Nepal.
