The House of Harmony, a literary endeavour by authors Dr. Harshali Singh and Mona Verma, successfully hosted the first edition of Spring Fest 2023 at Kunzum Bookstore in GK 2, New Delhi on April 16. The day-long literary conclave was attended by writers, poets, social activists and change makers, journalists, filmmakers, among others.
Powered by Kunzum Bookstore, the Spring Fest 2023 was supported by its founder Ajay Jain and his team led by Subir Dey. The conclave hosted some interesting panel discussions on a broad range of topics, including: the influence of AI on writing and creativity, the impacts of war, writings by medical professionals, the various shades of women writers, sensuality in history and mythology, feminism, gender fluidity and the role of women on Indian cinema, among others.
Many poets who participated in the Poetry on Spring contest were also felicitated at the event. Publisher Readomania announced that they’ll publish an anthology of these selected poems in a new book.
Some of the attendees of Spring Fest 2023 were: Major Gen. G.D. Bakshi SM VSM Retd.; film producer Rahul Mittra, Vinita Dawra Nangia-Executive Editor- The Times Of India, Author, and Director- Times LitFests & Write India; social activists Mahamandaleshwar Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi; Anurag Chauhan, Founder at Humans for Humanity; Sumant Batra, lawyer and founder of KLF; Dr. Alka Pande- art curator and historian; Dipankar Mukherjee- Founder and Publisher at Readomania, among others.
Talking about organising the day-long literary conclave, organisers Mona and Harshali said in a statement, “We are overwhelmed by the stupendous response to our maiden edition and now look forward to expanding the portfolio… We could put together Spring Fest 2023 in just a month’s time but this uphill task became possible only after careful thought and with relentless support of Dipankar Mukherjee of Readomania, valuable guidance by eminent filmmaker Rahul Mittra, and the laborious Team Kunzum.”
Meanwhile, Ajay Jain, Founder of Kunzum Bookstore, said, “Spring Fest 2023 by House of Harmony has raised the bar by several notches in terms of its seamless conduction, stellar speaker list and overwhelming response and I invite them for the Summer Fest at Kunzum 2023.”
Delighted by the success of Spring Fest 2023, Mona and Harshali thanked the audience and promised to come back with more in the year ahead.
