Elon Musk’s Isaacson bio will be released this summer.
Elon Musk‘s contentious biography by Walter Isaacson will be released this summer, according to a press statement from Simon & Schuster.
According to the publisher, Elon Musk in Isaacson is “the revealing inside story, filled with amazing tales of triumphs and turmoil, that addresses the question: are the demons that drive Musk also what it takes to drive innovation and progress?”
Musk, the head of Tesla and SpaceX, was well-known before he acquired Twitter last year. His time as the social media company’s CEO has been filled with controversy; he received criticism for firing a sizable portion of the staff and changing the “blue tick” verification process.
In 2021, Musk said Isaacson will write his biography; Isaacson later confirmed the plan. One of the most well-known biographers in the nation, Isaacson’s books on Leonardo da Vinci, Steve Jobs, and Benjamin Franklin have all achieved bestseller status.
Simon & Schuster says that Isaacson’s Musk biography is “the astonishingly intimate story of the most fascinating and controversial innovator of our era—a rule-breaking visionary who helped to lead the world into the era of electric vehicles, private space exploration, and artificial intelligence. Oh, and took over Twitter.”
Elon Musk is scheduled for publication on Sept. 12.
