As many of you reading, this write-up know it very well that how vital it is for the writers to create their content in a quicker manner in order to complete all the assigned tasks on time. Well, let us understand how different writing is from any other project through the help of a couple of examples. Suppose if there is a graphics designer then the person has all the directions of creating a particular design well in advanced by the superior and the designer does not have to worry much, focus on the word “worry” over here. As even if the design does not becomes up to the mark then that graphic designer will get fresh set of directions to create a new design.

Now, taking one more example and this time from much more technical field, suppose there is an engineer designing the blueprint of a bridge through AutoCAD then again the engineer does not have to “worry” much. As the engineer would have received all the training the directions to design the blueprint of the bridge well in advanced. Moreover, the engineer too would not worry about the AutoCAD design being not up to the mark, as the superiors would rectify the mistakes made by the engineer.

From the above two examples you can see that how there is a scope of being rectified in the two very different kinds of fields. Interestingly, there is a scope of second chance in almost all the fields of work but not so much in the field of writing, which makes the job of writing way too different from any other profession. Now, take this write-up for example, here in this case I am not only following a deadline to complete it quicker and make it live for you to read but also at the same time I have not been provided with a set of guidelines for my work. Therefore, you can see that writing is indeed different from any other profession, no doubt that one gets the “Creative Freedom” to carry out the work as one’s wishes but this can be slightly inconvenient too, especially for the new writers.

Because, when an advanced set of guidelines or directions are not provided then the writers has to ‘carve out their own ways in order to complete the task on time!’ While, it becomes extremely difficult for the writers to take care of both the issues – Creating a content without any direction as well as completing that content on time. Therefore, here are some tips to help the new writers in creating their content on time, without sacrificing the quality of their writing in the process –

1) Make the First Draft Messy: Too often, authors try to get it exactly right in the first draft. Unfortunately, that practice defeats the entire purpose of an initial draft! The first draft should be all about getting your ideas and concepts down in raw, simple form. It should be written, as Stephen King says, “with the door closed” meaning that it is for you and your eyes only. Ignore your mistakes, misspellings and urges to locate the perfect turns of phrase – these will be addressed during editing. Just sit down and let your fingers fill the pages in front of you.

2) Do not Research as you write: If you have an idea, it usually pays to get it down quickly! However, this can lead to unproductive writing sessions where you end up spending more time researching Wikipedia than writing your masterpiece. That is why it is a good idea to perform your research before you write. Then, you can simply focus on putting words on the page, knowing that you have done your due diligence with research. Use your subsequent drafts to check your facts and add polish.

3) Create an Outline: If you have a great idea, the temptation to write it all out is strong. However, that often leads to roadblocks and other frustrations when you realize that you have not figured out how to get from plot point A to big revelation B. Creating an outline gives you a structure that allows you to organize your ideas and write them down much more quickly.

4) Manage Expectations and Forgive Yourself: Goals are important, but you have to be able to forgive yourself if you only write 300 words on a day that required 1,000. Know that some days you will feel more inspired than others will, while other days will make you feel like a literary fraud. Writing books requires the mind of a marathoner, not a sprinter, so just remember to keep putting one foot in front of the other. That is how progress is made!

Well, these tips can help you increase your output considerably, but it is up to you to find what works best for you.
