Home Minister Amit Shah to launch Hindi Syllabus of (MBBS) Medical Education in Bhopal on Oct 16

Union Home and Cooperatives Minister Amit Shah will launch medical studies in Hindi by releasing MBBS first-year books in Hindi at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal on October 16.

For the launch of the event, grand preparations are being made. On Sunday, Medical Education Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang inspected the posture at Lal Parade Ground and gave necessary messages to the concerned officials.

Minister Sarang informed that ‘Medical education in Hindi’ is a big gift to the country from Madhya Pradesh government on Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. He said that following the call of the successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan decided to start the MBBS course in Hindi. He also said that it is a matter of happiness that the work of preparing Hindi syllabus of MBBS has been completed within the time limit prescribed by the Medical Education Department.

This day is significant for Medical Education Department, Madhya Pradesh, the country, and for Hindi. Thousands of students from medical colleges across the state will participate in the program.

Minister Sarang enlightened that Madhya Pradesh will be the first state in the country to start medical education in Hindi. The pilot project of MBBS course in Hindi will start at Gandhi Medical College.

From the current session itself, anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry, will be taught in Hindi in the first year MBBS in all 13 government medical colleges of Madhya Pradesh.

At the same time, it will be implemented in MBBS second year and also in the next session. Minister Sarang also clarified that studies in Hindi means that this arrangement is being made parallely as an aid to the students studying in Hindi medium. Along with English, Hindi books will also be made available. For Hindi conversion of books, a well-organized curriculum has been prepared by duly constituting a Hindi cell ‘Mandar’. The task force comprises experts from the medical field.

An exhibition based on various innovations including MBBS in Hindi, Knowledge Sharing Mission, Medical Student Insurance Scheme, Inclusion of Value Based Medical Education in MBBS Foundation Course, Ease of Health Services, Medical Incubation Center by Madhya Pradesh Medical Education Department will be held on October 15 at Lal Parade Ground.

During the inspection, Mayor Malti Rai, Commissioner Medical Education Dr Sanjay Goyal, Director Medical Education Dr Jiten Shukla, Divisional Commissioner Gulshan Bamra, Dean Gandhi Medical College Dr Arvind Rai, Hamidia Hospital Superintendent Dr Ashish Gohia along with departmental officers were also present.
