A literary and social afternoon at Taj Bengal
Arjun Kumar and Archil Dzuliashvili, Georgia’s ambassador to India, were present at the Taj Bengal book launch for the Bengali translation of Georgian poet Shot’ha Rust’haveli’s 12th-century work The Knight in the Tiger Skin, “a book customarily given to new brides… a book of morals and how to lead your life.” During the launch, a celebration of the “30th anniversary of formally established diplomatic relations between India and Georgia” took place.
“It was a pleasure to host the ambassador for this occasion. He has been to Calcutta four to five times. This trip was mainly for the book launch,” said Arjun. Following the launch, Arjun hosted a luncheon.
